The Amazing Adorebynat: Etsy Seller Feature

I first *met* Nat when I bought some brooch pins for my little indidi felt brooches. She was one of the friendliest and honest sellers I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She then featured me in her blog with some of the brooches I had made so she was my inspiration to actually create my own blog so that I could at least repay some of her kindness.

adorebynat thankyou
Nat keeps up with an amazing amount of exciting ventures. Not only is Nat especially creative but she also has several Etsy shops, writes a really interesting blog, has moved from rugged Canada to live in tropical Indonesia and is mum to the cutest little boy you have ever seen! I am amazed at how she does it all!

Adorebynat has the most beautiful creative cards made with a clever eye for detail. Each card is lovingly handmade using high quality products such as heavy and/or textured cardstock and a wide variety of embellishments, stampings, styles and colours (colors). She rarely makes the same card again, so you will get a very special, ‘one of a kind’ treasure to give to your loved ones.

Another great idea of Nat’s is to make cute little individual Indonesian tea bags each specially made by her. So you could even give someone a special treat of a handmade and colour (color) coordinated card and matching gift of Indonesian tea.

Not only does she achieve all this *amazingness* but Nat is so caring of others. “This holiday season, I will be donating cards to the Mission Soldier Support (MSS) Project - soldiers can use these cards to write to their loved ones back home”

YEAH! red bubble at last!

These are some of my artworks and T shirts at my redbubble site and I hope you like them.

I have a few original drawings of flying teapots, dragonflies and butterflies and cute little zombies and robots that I need to tweak a bit before they are ready to be shown to the world. I can't wait to finish them. Now that I have posted what I am going to do I had better start working on them. I will put them up here so you can have a look. Maybe this will help me stay focused on the one project for a while instead of flitting between many projects: making a necklace, to melting and hammering metal, to making soap, to painting images, to melting glass ....

If you have any ideas of anything you would like created for redbubble just leave a comment and let me know and I will see what we can dream up together! I love working with new ideas. Well I'm off to draw........ see you soon

Six Things from Pixie Land...

I've been tagged by the talented
vanillapixie
vanilla pixie
to reveal six random things about myself & to tag six other bloggers to do the same. I am really just learning my way around blogging but here goes...

The rules:
- Link to the person who tagged you
- Mention the rules
- Tell six quirky yet boring, unspectacular details about yourself
- Tag six other bloggers by linking to them
- Go to each person's blog and leave a comment that lets them know they've been tagged

1. I live in total 'organized chaos'.... I have metalworking tools with my artworks and paints, materials and threads with my soap making tools, a little kiln for enameling with my little apple laptop all squeezed into my little attic studio.
2. I never follow a recipe - well almost never. I just fling all sorts of food together so we eat some amazing and interesting concoctions. Some are total disasters and some are spectacular and none can EVER be repeated.
3. I am hyper-mobile so my body can bend and twist in bizarre ways... eg. I can stand with my feet facing forwards and my body facing almost totally backwards (I try to avoid doing this as it freaks people out!)
4. I am a 'concept gardener'... I love the concept but hate the weeding
5. I can stay on a rearing horse but I can't walk without a walking stick... go figure????
6. I can't remember anything but the first lesson of French that I studied for 3 years... I can remember the colours exactly of a painting I saw only once when I was a child

The people that I'm tagging are some of the amazing artists on
Etsy Check out their blogs and their Etsy shops

the only way to travel..

Yeah! I had another horse ride yesterday. I am so excited about riding again as it has been so long..... and my body is REALLY letting me know that I was on a horse again as I can hardly walk!

I used to ride my own horses ages ago which I loved but because of health problems I wasn't able to do it anymore and had to 'sell' them. Actually I gave them away to good homes so that I knew they would be well looked after but that's a whole other story!

I decided this year to get 'back on the horse' and get some Natural Horsemanship training. It is so much fun and just cantering around or going over jumps (little ones ) is such a buzz! My body seems to have a 'muscle memory' or something very peculiar as I have no idea what it's doing but it is apparently 'doing the right thing' or so my instructor says! Actually my body goes on strike when I have to get on or off the horse and I need people to lift me up and get me off but once I am on the horse it is just amazing. I feel so free and at one with the universe, Hi Ho Silver and all that..... imagination can be such a wonderful thing *little chuckle*

annies big baby boy

Anyway the horses I have been riding are a little camera shy.... one is actually petrified of pigs and very wary around cows so a glamourous photo shoot might be a bit too much to ask!.....anyway, as I was saying, I haven't got any photos of the horses I ride BUT I do have a photo of a very special friend's very new BIG baby. Annie has just bought a 2 year old Quarter Horse colt to train. He is such a beautifully natured BIG boy and will be an amazing horse once he grows up.

Yes... I do keep mentioning BIG, he is actually enormous for his age because you can see a 'peek-a-boo' of Annie in the photo and she is REALLY tall and the colt still has a bit more growing to do. He still has his winter baby coat so he is a bit fluffy in this photo but once he has been loved and brushed and cuddled he will be a stunning glossy Palomino.

mare and foal

The other pic is of one of the mares and her little one week old filly that were at the Quarter Horse stud where Annie bought her horse from. They just looked too cute not to show you.

special hearts for 100 hearts

How do you like the '100th heart thank you gift' I made this morning? I posted them this afternoon at my tiny little country Post Office and now they will be flying over the sea and all the way to kylieB

kylieB earrings

They are made from periwinkle blue glass Czech hearts and swirling Sterling Silver. The silver has been gently hammered to shape and strengthen them. The pretty blue hearts are to represent one heart to another (or should I say one heart to 100! :o) The spiral design is a symbol of life which is to welcome her little baby Liam into the world. kylieB is expecting him any day now so he may even arrive before the earrings do… Australia Post can be soooo slow at times.

She has a beautiful shop called Boutique Creations full of really pretty and colourful crotchet flowers, delicate snowflakes, extra cute cup warmers and lots more!

First Blogging!!!

Well, here goes......
My first attempt at blogging. This is something I've been meaning to get around to for months now and it is definitely a 'work in progress' ;o)

I just had my first 100th etsy heart yesterday *yeah* and I had to celebrate in a very unique and special way. What better way to celebrate than by starting a blog AND give a present.

The amazing kylieB at www.kylieB.etsy.com was this wonderful 100th person so I thought the best way to thank her was to send her a special '100th heart thank you gift' of some of my indidi earrings. I have been checking out her etsy shop and her blog to get an idea of what she might like and think I have designed the perfect pair for her.

Well I have the design in my head atm so I better rush off and actually make them now. I will get a quick photo of them before I post them today so I can show you all and you can let me know what you think of them. Wish me luck!
